I finally got a new tiny camera, the Canon Powershot Elph. I can literally squeeze it into my pocket but more likely will carry it in one of my tiny purses. Surreptitious. I like it. I’m voyeuristic so consider this your warning!
Just noticed that someone found my other blog by searching the term “give me one a good reason to love you and.”
Hmm.
Sure the first part sounds depressively romantic enough but I’m more interested in what comes after the “and.” And… what? Give me one good reason to love me and… buy me a pony??? And… knit me a sweater? Perhaps it’s “give me one good reason to love me and”… also finish my taxes. What come after the “and,” people, what could it be??
There’s the one study that says women who have sex without condoms are less likely to be depressed because there’s some all-powerful cure-all chemical in semen. Great. L’Oreal should just package that right up.
Then there’s this latest one from Australia. It says depressed women are more likely than their happier counterparts to seek out lots of sex. Coupled sex, random sex, anytime, any place, anyone…make the hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach and bottom of my heart just go away. Happy girls get gardening and scrapbooking. One teensy emotional outburst during the last sales meeting and you’re headed for syphilis and the corner of 16th and Capp Street. P.S. I love the accompanying photo; the essence of Nomi Malone just wafts off the computer screen, n’est pas?
Okay. We’ve all been to a bar at 1:30 in the morning, yes? So this isn’t that shocking of news. On one hand it IS a little sad. We’re all just trying to find love dammit! On the other…whatever. How about you people stop studying us for a minute and go pick up some flowers instead? Thanks!
Still a rumor, have lots of questions. I believe it works by paying more upfront on a new ipod/iphone for unlimited streaming access? How are the record companies going to go for that one? What about those who already have an ipod or iphone, do we have to buy a new device?
That Steve Jobs is doing quite well for himself, I do have to say.
I just did stuff to my HTML. That doesn’t sound even the slightest bit naughty. Like I went into the Dashboard and fiddled around with some numbers and those [- blahblah -] thingies. When I hit refresh, things looked slightly different. Whoa. I’ll try not to let all this power go straight to my head.
Does anyone know how to add stuff? Can you show me how or email me instructions? I’m not sure what kind of stuff I’m looking for but I’ll know it when I see it.
New Portishead coming soon!
Just read on MOG that Portishead’s new album Third will be coming out April 28, 2008. Here’s the video for “Machine Gun,” their first single off the album coming out April 10. You like? I’m getting used to it. Beth’s voice is as sorrowfully warbly as usual, set against the stark machine-gun beat…I’m into it. Can’t wait to hear the rest.
Oh Buenos Aires. I will cry for you. I so want to be back, wandering your streets, riding your unbearably sweltering subtes, with even hotter passengers. We stayed in Palermo Soho, the neighborhood featured in this slide show, walking up and down Hondurus Street countless times. Seeing a couple like this was completely normal. Buenos Aires is very romantic, in-your-face passionate and quirky. One of the coolest, most eclectic places I’ve been. Enjoy!
